Auris en Oisans (1600 m) is a family resort surrounded by forests and mountains situated 16km Alpe d'Huez. It is a traditional and lively alpine village with everything you could wish for when it comes to summer holidays. Its location gives exceptional views overthe Oisans Valley, the Meije range and Les 2 Alpes Glacier.
IN and AROUND AURIS: The Oisans Area remained unexplored for many years, mainly because of its steep gorges, its raging torrents andnumerous waterfalls... hence the quality of its environment. The domain covers more than 91800ha, what with views over the Ecrins and the Meije mountain range, its previleged location in the heart of 6 valleys makes it a heaven for mountain walkers. La Grave is also worth visiting, its cable car will take you up to the Lauze Glacier, starting point to a wide choice of excursions.
CHILDREN The "Les Marmottes" children's club can take care of children 4-12, offering various sport activites suitable for each age (please contact the tourist office for prices and reservations).

Sports Club offering numerous activities - payable seperately or through the Leisure Club Card (from the age of 4 - photo needed - approx. 50 euros/pp/week - pay locally) which gives access to : hikes, 4 hours of group tennis lessons, archery and various reductions on other resort activities.
There is a mineral museum in Bourg d'Oisans and an ice cave on the 2 Alpes glacier...
