Known for its vast stretches of golden sand and its shallow waters, the "Golden Coast" spreads along 160km from Barcelona to Amposta. Its mild weather allowed innumerable villages and seaside resorts to rise, among which Celafell, the districts of El Vendrell, Torredembarra, Altafulla and most notably Salou and Cambrils.
The description of this coast wouldn't be complete without mentioning its green and wild countryside. The area saw the construction of towns like Tortosa, Reus and Valls, artistic treasures such as Poblet and Santes Creus Monasteries, the mountains of Llaberia, Prades or Montsant.
