HOURTIN is situated west of Bordeaux, halfway between the Pointe de Grave headland and the lake of Arcachon. A typical village from Medoc, close to the prestigious vineyards of the same name, Hourtin is a family resort with cafes, restaurants, and a picturesque market on the church square lined with chesnut trees.
