Located 7km from Cannes, in the beautiful Bay of La Napoule, by the Mediterranean sea, MANDELIEU, faces the garden islands of Lerins. The resort was built in what is now a protected area and draws a lot from it: the Esterel and Tanneron moutain range sheltering a genuine forest of Mimosa trees celebrated every year in February (Mimosa Festival).
Mandelieu-La Napoule is also a choice destination for sailors and watersports amateurs. The resort has been granted since 1987 the "Station Voile" award, for the quality of its equipment and wealth of activities related to the sea.
Its 6 ports make it the largest site regarding the number of moorings in the Alpes Maritime region.
Rambling, horse-riding or mountain biking on trails through a natural protected area where there is also a 9 and 18-hole golf course...
Piano-bars, casino, outdoor summer cinema and restaurants.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION The Islands of Lerins (like gardens in the middle of the sea), "Les Iles d'Or" (Porquerolles...), Grasse (the world's capital of Perfumes and its Fragonard museum), Saint Paul de Vence (the old village, its fortifications), Old Cannes, Vallauris (famous for its potters)...
Mandelieu has its own cultural and sport festivals throughout the year. The Chateau de la Napoule (built in a Mediaeval Romanesque style) hosts quite a few of them. Provencal street markets in the area (ie. Capitou, Minelle, La Napoule, Les Termes...) are something worth experiencing...

Esterel is a 32000ha volcanic massif, 13000 of which are part of a protected area. It is located between the Mediterranean and Provence. The first eruptions took place 300 millions years back and shaped through the years the present outline of the coast with indented landscapes and steep creeks of red earth. The terrain is ideal for ramblers and mountain bikes.
