VAL D'ISERE consists of a main village and some smaller hamlets.
The historical village (altitude 1850m) with its XIth century bell tower is the meeting point for ski slopes coming down from Bellevarde and the Pointe Solaise. VAL D'ISERE is a haven for competitive and extreme skiing.
The hamlets each with their individual personality are: la Daille (at the entrance of the valley), Le Chatelard, Joseray and le Fornet.
VAL D'ISERE is a vast domain linked by ski runs and the "train rouge" shuttle which links the main village and the hamlets together.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION The station is accessible by bus or by taxi from the Bourg-Saint-Maurice train station (30km away), by air from Geneva and Cointrin aerports (180 km), Chambery (130 km) and Lyon/St-Exupery (220 km).
